Pioneer Financial Services executive joins '40 Under 40' Class of 2006

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Apr 28, 2006) Joe Freeman, chief strategy officer and chief lending officer for Pioneer Financial Services, was recently honored as one of Kansas City's 40 Under 40 Class of 2006 by Ingram's Magazine. Each year, Ingram's recognizes the top individuals in the community who have exhibited the leadership, work ethic, and community involvement that positions them to be one of Kansas City's leaders of the future.

Freeman has been active in professional and local civic activities for more than 15 years. The recent selection by Ingram's, the area's leading business magazine, not only recognizes his business and philanthropic accomplishments, but also his ability to balance these commitments while maintaining a health family life.

"I've been blessed with the fortune of having great mentors over the years who have taught me to have balance in my life, to only get involved with an organization if you're passionate about it and, most important, not to go through life with regrets of what you wish you had accomplished," offered Freeman.

Freeman has more than 15 years of business experience in accounting, consulting, and marketing. He is a graduate of the Henry W. Bloch School Business and Public Administration at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is also the proud father of three children and the husband of Kristin Freeman.

In his current role at Pioneer Financial Services, Freeman focuses on strategy, lending operations, new business opportunities, government affairs, and strategic alliances for the company. He leads efforts to find ways to enhance the quality of life for military families, and has developed an educational campaign to help service members better understand personal finances.

His community and philanthropic activities include the UMKC Alumni Association, the Bloch School Executive Board, Angel Flight Central, Bloch School Mentoring Program, Athena Powerlink program, Association of the United States Army, the Kansas Women's Business Center, and other volunteer activities in the area including coaching sports teams for his children.

As background, Pioneer Services Representatives offer products and services to members of the Armed Forces that enhance their quality of life and financial independence. Through a network of offices and on the Internet, Pioneer Services Representatives offer financial education programs, loans, and insurance products, and support military families and communities through a variety of partnerships, programs, and sponsorships.
