Pioneer Services wins 'Helping Hand Award' at Fort Riley

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (May 21, 2007) The Pioneer Services office serving Fort Riley, Kan., was recently named a recipient of the "Helping Hand Award" for the work it has done for the Soldiers and families of the local military community. The office was recognized for continuing its "stalwart and steadfast … efforts to support and develop programs on Fort Riley that foster leadership development and improve quality of life."

"We never cease to feel honored and privileged to support the service members and their families at Fort Riley," said Marcia Cox, manger for Pioneer Services. "They do so much for us, that whatever we are able to give in return, we are pleased to do. We especially enjoy helping the military through our free financial education and credit report reviews."

The plaque noted that Pioneer Services was one of only four companies that helped save the Fort Riley Combined Scholarship Fund. It also recognized Pioneer Services for having "a direct impact on the quality of life for Fort Riley's Soldiers and Family Members and reflect great credit on Pioneer Services and the Fort Riley Military Community."

This is the fourth award for a Pioneer Services office in the past year. Two offices—the ones serving Fort Drum, N.Y., and Fort Gordon, Ga.—each received a local Better Business Bureau (BBB) "Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics." A third office serving Fort Benning, Ga., also received recognition from its local BBB for a high level of ethical business practices.

Offering assistance to members of the Armed Forces is another way that Pioneer Services enhances the quality of life for military families. Entering their 75th year in the financial services industry, Pioneer Services provides responsible financial services and education that our service members deserve. Through a network of offices and on the Internet, Pioneer Services Representatives offer financial education programs, loans, and insurance products, and support military families and communities through a variety of partnerships, programs, and sponsorships.
