KC-based Pioneer Financial Services recognized as 18th 'Best Place to Work in America'

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Jun 26, 2006) Pioneer Financial Services (PFS), headquartered in Kansas City, Mo., was recognized today for the second time in three years as one of the 25 “Best Small & Medium Companies to Work for in America.” The award was presented at the Society for Human Resource Management's (SHRM) Annual Conference & Expo in Washington, D.C. earlier today.

PFS ranked 18th in the medium-sized company category, which ranges in size from 251-999 employees. Selected by the Great Place to Work® (GPTW) Institute, the results were based on a randomly distributed employee opinion survey, where associates answered questions about their organization’s workplace culture.

Entering its 75th year in the financial services industry, PFS has received a number of awards and recognitions in the past several weeks, including an American Business Awards “Stevie” for the Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program, and having the company’s Chairman Bill Sullivan and President Tom Holcom named 2006 “Entrepreneurs of the Year” for the Central Midwest Region by Ernst and Young.
