Pioneer Services wins 'Silver Quill' awards for financial education podcasts, magazine

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Nov 01, 2011) The Silver Quills, awarded by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Southern Region, are some of the most prestigious awards in business, focusing on the communications aspect of a company's particular campaign or effort. This year, Pioneer Services was honored with a pair Silver Quills—an Award of Excellence in the category of "Publication Design" for an internal magazine, and an Award of Merit in the "Electronic and Digital Communications" category for the Financial PEP Talk educational podcast series. The podcast series is a component of the company's nationally recognized financial education program for military families.

The awards mark the second time Pioneer Services has been recognized by the IABC in 2011, as the company also received four Bronze Quill Awards from the Kansas City chapter in May. Pioneer Services received a 2009 Bronze Quill for its "Save the Flame" campaign, which was also named one of just three Best in Show finalists.

"Thank you to the judges at the IABC's Southern Region for honoring Pioneer Services with these awards," said Karen Von Der Bruegge, chief marketing and retail operations officer. "We're pleased that our efforts to provide financial education to military families, and the great work and service our team members exhibit, have been recognized within the industry. The fact our materials were seen as some of the best in the nation is a credit to the team we have here at Pioneer Services."
