Pioneer Services warns military about financial services scam
The scammers claim to be from Redford Financial Group and tell their targets that they have been approved for a loan. But, the scammer says, the victim must first send a check for the first and last months' payments in advance. In one case, the Soldier was told this was required because his credit was questionable, and the payments were in accordance with state law. He was also told that Redford Financial received his information from Pioneer Services.
Pioneer Services has absolutely no connection with this matter, is actively and aggressively investigating this hoax, and will be contacting state and federal consumer offices as necessary. Also, while there is a legitimate financial services company called Redford Financial Group, they are not affiliated with this scam.
Pioneer Services recommends that anyone who receives a similar call to contact the proper authorities immediately, including their local BBB, the Federal Trade Commission, and their state's attorney general.
