Pioneer Services honors fallen Soldiers with donation to Raider Brigade memorial

HINESVILLE, Ga. (Aug 20, 2010) Pioneer Services consistently looks for ways to recognize the sacrifice and commitment of those who currently serve, those who have served, and those who have fallen. At the Pioneer Services office serving Fort Stewart, Ga., this recently led to a donation of $1,000 to the Raider Brigade's Fallen Soldiers Memorial. The presentation was made Aug. 19, during a luncheon for the local chapter of the Association of the United States Army.

"We are extremely honored to assist with the Raider Brigade's Fallen Soldiers Memorial and help make it a reality," said Tammy Sawyer, branch manager for Pioneer Services. "We also ask that others in the area do what they can to help. The tight economy has affected all of us, but it is more important than ever that we —either individually or through our companies—try to help honor our fallen heroes in any way we can."

The Raider Brigade's Fallen Soldiers Memorial will honor the Soldiers of the First Brigade Combat Team who have fallen in the line of duty. It will be a permanent memorial at Fort Stewart that will cost around $100,000, with construction beginning once they reach $50,000 in donations.
