Pioneer Services' Laura Stack named 'CFO of the Year' by Business Journal

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Jun 22, 2010) Laura Stack, chief financial officer of Pioneer Services, the Military Banking Division of MidCountry Bank, was named the "CFO of the Year" by the Kansas City Business Journal during an awards program June 21, in Overland Park, Kan. The CFO of the Year award is given to a financial professional for outstanding performance in his or her role as a corporate financial steward. Stack, who was an honoree last year, was one of three candidates in the "Large Private Company" division, and was featured in a Kansas City Business Journal to be released June 25.

Stack has more than 20 years finance experience, working in the financial services, leasing and media sectors. A graduate of Kansas State University, she is a member of several professional and military organizations, and sits on the board of the Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey (KCFAA), chairing KCFAA's 2009 Benefit for Arts and Education Committee that raised more than $280,000 to benefit arts and education programming for at-risk children in the greater Kansas City area.
