Pioneer Services' Disaster Relief Loan bridges short term funding gaps
Interest-free loan provides emergency funds to military families

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Apr 27, 2011) The recent storms that battered the East Coast have upended trees, destroyed buildings, and affected countless lives. To help military families affected by the storms, Pioneer Services is offering its specialty Disaster Relief Loan for those who have immediate needs. The loan provides up to $1,000 interest free for 90 days, and is being offered to military families living in a federally-declared disaster area.

The Disaster Relief Loan was created several years ago after Hurricane Katrina, when reports surfaced that some military families were turning to high-interest debt in order to get emergency funds. As a response, the company came up with a loan that served as a stop-gap, providing families with cash in just a few hours, but without high rates or any fees.

"We didn't think that families should be faced with a financial disaster after going through a natural one," said Joe Freeman, president and chief operating officer for Pioneer Services, "so we created the Disaster Relief Loan as the responsible alternative to short-term needs. It's perfect for those who need money to take care of their bills between now and when their insurance or other payment arrives."
