Pioneer Services manager inducted as Honorary Sergeant Major
Dennis Meyer recognized by 19th Field Artillery Regiment

LAWTON, Okla (Apr 22, 2010) Dennis Meyer, branch manager at the Pioneer Services office serving Ft. Sill, Okla., has dedicated his life to the military. The retired Army command sergeant major spent nearly 30 years on active duty, and has used his post-military-retirement years to help military families, both in his role with Pioneer Services, and in his personal life. As he says, "I'm retired, but still serving."

These efforts were recently recognized when Meyer was inducted, by order of the Secretary of the Army, as an Honorary Sergeant Major of the 19th Field Artillery Regiment. The title of Honorary Sergeant Major is bestowed only on those who have served a regiment with honor and distinction throughout their military career. The award was presented to him by Lt. Colonel Kelly W. Ivanoff, Commander of the 1st Battalion, 19th Field Artillery.

"I was just honored to be selected," said Dennis. "It also says a lot about our company; that we're allowed to do what we think is best for military families. When we get recognized like this, it lets us know we're doing things the right way."
